Gather brings together makers connected by community who take unique approaches to creating through their chosen materials. This exhibition will challenge traditional ideas of textile art and showcase some genuinely exceptional work that is deeply emotional and beautiful.

Gather was born out of ‘WeStitch’, a small group that meets regularly in Castlemaine’s West End to stitch and discuss the essentials of art and life. We are united by a shared interest in textiles. Coming together as a community, within a community, is fundamental to what makes WeStitch so special. Our aim with Gather is not just to promote the extraordinary creative talent of Castlemaine but also to foster a sense of connection.
